Janmastami and Prabhupada's Appearance Day
August 9, 2012, Lord Krishna's Appearance Day/Janmastami was joyfully celebrated here in Hilo, Hawaii, Little Nitai Gauranga were bathed in ghee, yogurt, honey, milk (from happy protected for life and milked by hand cows here on Big Island) and water.
August 10 was Srila Prabhupada's Appearance Day! After reading homages to Srila Prabhupada, the devotees sang and danced before Prabhupada and huge feast first offered to Prabhupada was then enjoyed by all.

Tuesday the 12th of April
was Lord Ramachandra's appearance day
the program at Harinam's house temple began at 5:00 PM
and the prasadam feast at Sunset made by Kapindra Swami, Saci Suta and Harinam was relishable... Squash tomato bitter melon subji with fresh paneer from Dayal Chandra's happy and protected Krishna cows, Purple potatoes, avocados, tapioca pudding, fresh mango nectar, peanuts and raisins and rich tasty coconut macaroons made with love by Maharani.
We had blissful kirtan, the alter draped with colorful flowers and leaves, watched blissful film of Srila Prabhupada, his walking in his robes along the beach with devotees, his feet covered in sparkling flowers of all kinds, handing out divine finger-fulls of prasadam to devotees kids... we also read about Lord Rama from Prabhupada's original Srimad Bhagavatam and discussed what we heard from Prabhupada together. We also had encouraging conversation about Prabhupada's farm. Thank God for Prabhupada and thank Prabhupada for God. How lucky are we to be together and hear about Krishna from Prabhupada directly.
